About Me

My background

I was born in Denmark to a Danish father and an American mother, missionaries and church-planters in Denmark during the 1960s. Growing up between two cultures gave me a love for people, stories, and the ways faith crosses borders. My journey has taken me from small Scandinavian towns to bustling American cities, from paralegal work in high-stakes courtrooms to quiet moments behind a camera capturing the beauty of God’s creation. Through it all, my faith has been my anchor, shaping my life and my writing.

Who I am

I’m an introverted, creative Christian woman whose greatest joy is my family — two wonderful children and seven beautiful grandchildren. My faith journey began at eight years old, sparked by Vacation Bible School, Christian conferences, and the glow of fireside worship at youth camp. As a child, I often trailed behind my pastor father as he carried out his duties, or played quietly in the sanctuary while my mother sang in the choir. Those early moments planted seeds of faith that have guided me ever since.

Things I love

I’ve always had a passion for music, reading, and photography. My taste in music is wonderfully varied — from classical to Christian rock — but my heart is most stirred by timeless hymns and Gaither songs, each a reminder of God’s unwavering love through every season of life. Reading has been a lifelong joy, and my shelves hold a mix of modern favorites and treasured antiques. My travels have taken me from Denmark to the East Coast, Alberta, and California before settling in the beautiful state of Idaho. Along the way, I’ve captured moments behind the lens, and many of the photographs on this site are my way of sharing the beauty I’ve been blessed to witness.

Why I Write

Writing has always been my way of making sense of life — a place to weave together faith, experience, and the lessons God has placed along my path. My words are born out of real seasons of joy, loss, challenge, and restoration, each one shaped by God’s presence and His promises. I write to encourage others who may be walking their own difficult roads, to remind them that hope is real, and that God’s truth is unshakable no matter the storm. Whether through a devotional, a personal story, or a journal prompt, my prayer is that every word will point back to the One who heals, restores, and leads us forward.

Through My Lens

Photography, for me, is more than a hobby — it’s a way of pausing to notice the fingerprints of God in the world around me. From quiet forest paths to the restless ocean, I see creation as a living reminder of His power, beauty, and care. Each photo is a moment of worship, a way to preserve the wonder I feel when I witness His handiwork. Sharing these images is my invitation for others to slow down, look closer, and see the Creator’s love in the details.
